Tea Ceremony Emcee

Where two families become one.

Your tea ceremony carries real weight. I guide you gently through each elder, in the language they are most at home in, so the order feels right and everyone feels honoured.

The heart of a Chinese wedding

A host who keeps the customs right and warm.

A tea ceremony is where you honour the people who raised you, and where two families truly become one. The order of seniority and the right words matter, and it is easy to feel unsure in the moment. My job is to guide you gently through each elder, prompt the right title, and keep the mood tender rather than tense, so it becomes one of the days you remember most.

The tea ceremony flow

The tea ceremony, step by step.

Tea Ceremony
01

Gathering the family

I settle everyone, seat the elders comfortably, and set a calm, respectful tone so the moment can begin properly.

02

Serving in order of seniority

I cue you through each elder in the correct order, prompting the right title, so you can focus on the moment and not the sequence.

03

Blessings & ang bao

The elders share their blessings and gifts. I hold the space so it stays unhurried, warm and full of feeling.

Photos & into the day

A family photo to close, then a gentle hand-over into the rest of your celebration.

Bilingual, so elders feel at home

Hosted in the language your family speaks.

At a tea ceremony, the people who matter most are often the grandparents and elders, and many of them are most at home in Mandarin or a dialect. I host bilingually in English and Mandarin, with warm touches of Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay where they help, so every generation follows along and feels included.

If both sides speak different first languages, see how I host bilingually in English and Mandarin, and how one host can carry the same warmth from your tea ceremony straight through to your wedding lunch or banquet.

Before you book

Tea ceremony questions.

Do you host Chinese wedding tea ceremonies in Singapore?

Yes. I host tea ceremonies across Singapore, guiding you as you serve tea to your parents and elders, keeping the order of seniority right and the whole moment warm and unhurried.

Will you help us with the order of seniority and the right titles?

Yes. Before the day I run through your family list with you, so you serve in the correct order and address each elder by the right title. On the day I cue you gently through each person, with no awkward pauses.

Can you host the tea ceremony in Mandarin or dialect?

Yes. I host bilingually in English and Mandarin, with warm touches of Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay where they help, so your grandparents and elders feel included and comfortable.

Can one host cover the tea ceremony and the banquet?

Yes, and many couples prefer it. One host across your morning tea ceremony and your evening lunch or banquet keeps a single, consistent warmth right through the day.
